1. Introduction

Localfox (“Localfox”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates a hiring and recruitment platform that connects companies and recruiters with candidates, and supports the workflows in between — sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, and hiring. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Localfox, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that is reasonably necessary to operate the Localfox platform, including:

• Account information — name, email address, password, and role (employer, recruiter, or candidate).
• Company details — company name, website, team members, and hiring preferences provided by employers.
• Candidate profile information — resumes, employment history, education, skills, and other information submitted for job matching.
• Interview information — scheduling details, interview outcomes, and feedback exchanged between employers and candidates.
• Usage and device information — log data, browser type, IP address, and how you interact with Localfox.
• Information provided through integrations — such as Google Calendar, when you choose to connect them, as described in Section 4.

We do not collect categories of information beyond what is reasonably necessary to provide the features described above.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Localfox platform;
• Match candidates with relevant employers and roles;
• Support recruitment workflows, including sourcing and screening;
• Schedule, update, and manage interviews;
• Create, maintain, and secure user accounts;
• Protect the security and integrity of our platform;
• Provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
• Improve and develop our product; and
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Google Calendar Integration

Localfox offers an optional Google Calendar integration to help employers coordinate interview scheduling with candidates. When a Localfox user explicitly connects their Google Calendar account, Localfox may access Google account information and Calendar data only as necessary to provide this interview scheduling functionality.

With authorized access, Localfox may use the Google Calendar integration to:

• Identify the connected Google account;
• Create interview events on the connected calendar;
• Update or reschedule interview events;
• Cancel interview events; and
• Invite the relevant interview participants to those events.

This access only occurs after a user explicitly authorizes Localfox through Google’s OAuth consent flow, and only for the scopes the user agrees to grant.

5. Google User Data

Google user data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide the user-facing features described in this Policy — namely, interview scheduling through the Google Calendar integration. Localfox’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not use it for any purpose beyond providing and improving the specific integration features a user has authorized.

6. OAuth Tokens

When you connect Google Calendar, Localfox securely stores the OAuth access and refresh credentials associated with that authorization so that we can perform the Calendar actions you’ve authorized without requiring you to reconnect your account each time. These credentials are used solely to perform the authorized integration functionality described in Section 4, are stored using industry-standard safeguards, and are not shared outside of what is necessary to operate the integration.

7. Sharing of Information

We share information only where reasonably necessary, including with:

• Service and infrastructure providers who help us host, operate, and secure the platform;
• Employers, recruiters, or candidates, where sharing profile, resume, or interview information is part of the recruitment workflow you are participating in;
• Parties as required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or governmental request; and
• A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, where legally appropriate.

Localfox does not sell Google user data.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information we hold from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

9. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, meet legal and regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, and support legitimate business needs. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

10. User Rights

Depending on your relationship with Localfox and applicable law, you may request to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• Delete your information, subject to legal or legitimate business retention needs; and
• Receive information about how your account data is used.

11. Disconnecting Google Calendar

You can disconnect the Google Calendar integration from within Localfox at any time, which stops Localfox from performing any further Calendar actions on your behalf. You may also revoke Localfox’s access directly through your Google Account permissions page.

12. Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your Localfox account data, including any stored data related to the Google Calendar integration, by emailing us at privacy@localfox.in. We will process deletion requests in a reasonable timeframe, subject to any information we are required to retain for legal or security reasons.

13. Children's Privacy

Localfox is intended for professional recruitment and hiring use and is not directed to, or intended for use by, individuals below the applicable minimum legal age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will update the “Last Updated” date above when we do, and material changes will be communicated through the platform or via email where appropriate.
